Early Season October Duck Hunts
Kansas winters hundreds of thousands of migrating waterfowl every fall. Republican Valley Waterfowlers chase ducks in October offering our guests a variety of puddle ducks to shoot from including Gadwall, Mallards, Pintails, Shovelers, Teal and Wigeon. And don’t forget the diver ducks from Buffleheads, Canvasbacks and Redheads!
November and December Duck & Goose Combo Hunts
Join Republican Valley Waterfowlers on a duck and goose combo hunt where in addition to shooting ducks such as mallards and pintails, you can also shoot geese such as Lesser Canada, Snow Geese and Specklebelly. We scout our soy and corn fields daily and move to new feed fields to give you the best hunting experience possible.
December and January Late Season Ducks and Geese
Once the cold weather pushes the majority of the Little Geese south, we often get a push of big northern Canada Geese as well as the peak of Mallard migration coming in early to mid December. Our late season duck and geese combo style hunts offer guests have an opportunity to hunt ducks and geese from the same location.
Quality Hunting Guide Services at Reasonable Prices in Clay Center, Kansas
Hunts are limited to only 6-8 hunters per day to ensure you receive a quality hunt.
Our scheduled hunting dates are late October through early January and mid-January through the end of January 2016. Reservations are scheduled on a first come first serve basis. Specific dates will be released as they become available.
At Republican Valley Waterfowlers, customer satisfaction is very important to us. We proudly offer a selection of guided hunting packages and reservation options for your convenience.
Our reasonable prices include accommodation in our charming cabins. We will also clean your fowl for you and we offer complimentary pick up and return to Manhattan Regional Airport.
Other services include gun rental at an additional $50.00 per day.

All waterfowl hunters aged 16 and older must have a valid federal Migratory Bird Hunting and Conservation stamp to be a part of our guided hunt. All hunters who are required to obtain a hunting license must also have a Kansas State Waterfowl Stamp and a Kansas Harvest Information Program (HIP) stamp before hunting ducks, geese, or mergansers.
Hunting Regulations & Restrictions in Clay Center, Kansas
• Hunting Limits for 2015 allow for six Canadian Geese per hunter per day along with six ducks, but of those only five can be mallards and two can be hens.
• Current Federal duck stamp and a Kansas hunting license are required by anyone 16 years and older to hunt. Republican Valley Waterfowlers is required by law to check for these permits. Any hunter without the correct permits will not be allowed to hunt or receive any form of reimbursement.
• Steel shot shells are mandatory in the state of Kansas
• Camouflage, dull green and/or brown clothing are required to hunt
• Rain gear and appropriate footwear are mandatory due to the extreme weather conditions you may be hunting in.
